WHAT is Chuckie's Place?

Chuckie's Place is a non-profit organization committed to providing care and support to children and adults with special needs and their families through fun-filled weekend getaways and recreational therapy programs. Located on 32 acres at the base of Pikes Peak, Christ Haven Lodge in Florissant, CO, is privileged to host families with the hope of creating lifetime family memories.

WHO is Chuckie's Place for?

We recognize the unique challenges families with special needs face daily. We welcome families to participate in a time of encouragement, refreshment, and the opportunity to experience outdoor, mountain activities and develop new friendships. Whether your challenges are physical, mental or emotional you are invited to search our site and see the services we have available. Visit us as a new friend and leave as a part of our family!

Special Family Weekends

Offered four times a year, our special needs retreats provide families the opportunity to meet new friends, rest and enjoy mountain activities together. Each stay includes 2-night lodge style accommodations, meals from Friday night check-in through Sunday morning breakfast. In addition, programming includes family games, special guest entertainment, animal therapies, breakout session for moms, free time and a "family helper" to provide assistance with your family for the entire weekend!

My memory of Chuckie in the home started when I was in the 3^rd grade. I knew he was there when I was younger but it was then that I really remembered the impact he made in my life.
